DOSAGE
3 to 9 grams in decoction.
CAUTIONS I CONTRAINDICA TIONS
Acrid, bitter, warm, and drying, Chen Pi should be used with caution in patients with fluid deficiencies, excess heat in the interior, and/or cough caused by qí or yin deficiencies.
It should be used with extreme caution in hematemesis.
Long-term use of Chen Pi may consume yuan (source) qi.
