DOSAGE
3 to 12 grams in decoction.
CAUTIONS I CONTRAINDICA TIONS
• Sweet in nature, Da Zao may create dampness, phlegm and heat. Therefore, it is contraindicated for use as a sin- gle remedy, or at a large dosage, in cases of excess dampness, excess heat, and hot phlegm.
• Da Zao is not recommended in cases of intestinal parasites.
• Excessive use of Da Zao may lead to tooth decay, due to the high sugar content of the herb.
