CHINESE THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS
1. Releases the Exterior and Dispels Cold
2. Dispels Wind, Cold, and Damp and Relieves Pain
DOSAGE
3 to 10 grams in decoction.
CAUTIONS I CONTRAINDICA TIONS
Use of Gao Ben is contraindicated in patients with heat symptoms, or headache caused by blood deficiency or Liver yang rising.
Gao Ben is acrid and warm and may damage the yin. Yin deficient patients should use this herb with caution.
Long-term use of Gao Ben is not recommended.
