1. Tonifies Liver and Kidney Vin, Brightens the Eyes
2. Moistens Lung Vin
DOSAGE
5 to 15 grams in decoction. Gou Qi Zi is also used in paste, medicinal tincture, pill or powder forms.
CAUTIONS I CONTRAINDICA TIONS
• Though Gou Qi Zi is not stagnating in nature, it should still be used with caution for patients who have diarrhea from Spleen and Stomach deficiencies.
• Use of Gou Qi Zi is contraindicated for patients with excess or exterior conditions.
• Gou Qi Zi should be used with caution during pregnancy, as it stimulates contraction of the uterus.
