DOSAGE
10 to 15 grams, with a maximum of 30 grams, in herbal decoction. The dosage for fresh Ou Jie is 30 to 60 grams. It is commonly used as herbal decoction, herbal juice, or incorporated into pills and powders. The unprocessed herb clears heat and cools blood, and is most effective in treating bleeding caused by heat. The charred herb has a neutral or slightly warm property, and stops bleeding from deficiency and cold.
