DOSAGE
6 to 10 grams in decoction. Tao Ren seeds should be crushed prior to decoction. The unprocessed herb has a strong effect to move the blood and eliminate blood stasis. The dry-fried herb has a strong effect to moisten dryness and treat constipation.
CAUTIONS I CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Tao Ren is contraindicated in cases of blood deficiency.
• Tao Ren is contraindicated during pregnancy, due to its emmevnagogic and abortifacient effects.1
