CHINESE THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS

DOSAGE
3 to 10 grams in decoction. Yi Zhi Ren is a1so used in pi1l or powder form. The unprocessed form has a strong dry-ing effect and is commonly used to treat excessive salivation, involuntary salivation, vomiting and diarrhea. Frying Yi Zhi Ren with salt directs its functions to the Kidney, thereby enhancing its effect to treat frequent urination, nocturnal urination, nocturnal emissions, premature ejaculation, and leukorrhea.
CAUTIONS 1CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Use of Yi Zhi Ren is contraindicated in cases of yin-deficient fire, vomiting caused by qi stagnation or heat, urinary incontinence due to heat, and diarrhea from qi deficiency o r heat.
