CHINESE THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS
1. Tonifies the Kidney, Strengthens Yang and Increases Libido
2. Dispels Wind-Damp-Cold and Alleviates Bi Zheng (Painful Obstruction Syndrome)
10 to 15 grams in decoction. Yin Yang Huo is commonly used as herbal tincture, paste or pills. The unprocessed herb more strongly dispels wind and dampness and relieves bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome). Frying the herb in oil (sesame or lamb oil) enhances its effect to tonify Kidney yang, and to treat impotence, premature ejaculation, and other sexual disorders.
CAUTIONS I CONTRAINDICATIONS
• Use Yin Yang Huo with caution in patients with yin-deficient fire.
