CHINESE THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS
1. Cools Blood, Invigorates Blood Circulation, and Relieves Toxins
2. Eliminates Heat and Toxins from the Skin
3. Moistens the Intestines and Unblocks the Bowels
DOSAGE
3 to 10 grams in decoctions. The maximum dosage of Zi Cao Gen is 20 grams. Zi Cao Gen may be used internally as herbal decoction, or topically as cream or ointment. Zi Cao Gen cooked in boiling water has less antibiotic activity.
CAUTIONS I CONTRAINDICATIONS
Cold in nature, Zi Cao Gen is contraindicated in patients with diarrhea, or deficiency and cold of the Spleen and Stomach.
